Pitches it relatively full and around off. Gets it to turn away slightly from there with some grip and extra bounce. Brandon King prods forward and looks to defend it. Though he plays with soft hands, he gets undone by some extra bounce on this occasion. The ball catches the outside edge of the bat and goes towards first slip. KL Rahul remains alert, crouching low to his left, and extends both arms to take it nicely. The on-field umpires refer it upstairs to check whether it is a clean catch. The third umpire confirms it is a legal catch after watching the replays. King walks back for 5 (18) and Windies are 34/3, trailing by 252 runs, in a precarious situation.

Alick Athanaze comes forward and looks to defend it with a straight bat face but gets beaten on the inside edge. Gets rapped on the back pad. DRINKS BREAK! India are putting pressure on the Windies, who are doing their best to resist. This has been the situation in the first hour of the first session on Day 3. India declared their innings overnight, immediately putting the Windies on the back foot and making use of the early moisture in the pitch that allows their seamers to thrive. The openers played well initially, but a fantastic catch by Nitish Kumar Reddy ended their resistance. After a few unsuccessful appeals, Jadeja, too, managed to take the wicket of the other opener. Now, the onus is on two new relatively batters of the Windies to show resistance and not lose any more wickets in this first session. When will India play their other trump card in Kuldeep? Find out in the next hour with us!

10.2Fired in at the pads, short in length, King tucks it to backward square leg.

Brandon King is the new batter in.

10.1OUT! TAKEN! A soft dismissal! Ravindra Jadeja has his first wicket of the game! From over the wicket to the left-hander, on a nagging length, on middle. John is tentative in getting forward but gets his bat out in front to work it with the spin and the angle coming into him. As he closes the bat face, there is a bit of extra bounce that results in the ball catching the splice of the bat and it goes straight into the waiting hands of short leg, where Sai Sudharsan stays low to snaffle it.

Ravindra Jadeja went off the field after his last over. Probably, for a medical checkup, as he fell over while appealing. Now, he is back and will continue his spell.

8.4Tossed up, full and on off, pushed to cover.

8.3Very full, on middle, Campbell taps it wide of mid on for a single.

8.2A confident shout for caught behind, but turned down! Oh, dear. Ravindra Jadeja falls over while appealing, but gets back up on his feet quickly. India opt against the review, and it turned out to be a wise call, as there was a noise, but it was off the bat hitting the front pad. Speared in by Jadeja from over the wicket, on a nagging length, John plays for the turn, but the ball keeps straight to beat him on the outside edge.

8.1FOUR! Up and over! Looped up by Jadeja, full and wide on off, John sees the width on offer and frees his arms. Swings through the line, and the bat turns in his hand. The ball gets sliced more of the outer half of the bat, but manages to clear mid off and picks up a boundary.

Hits it aerially towards square leg, where Reddy flings himself to his left and is airborne while taking the catch. Nitish manages to hold on even after his elbow hits the turf.

7.1Lands it on a length, on off, Chanderpaul taps it to mid off off the front foot.

6.6Floated up by Jadeja from wide of the crease, full and on off, Campbell firms the drive back to the bowler.

6.5Taken at short leg, but has it come off the bat? The men around the bat are not overly excited, and Shubman Gill opts against the review. 5.4Full and on off, pushed to mid off.

5.3A loud shout for LBW but turned down! Dhruv Jurel reckons that the impact is outside the line and India do not take the review. This nips away a bit after angling in, on a good length, on off. Chanderpaul walks across his stumps to play the line but the ball goes away off the deck to beat him on the outside. Tagenarine gets hit on the back leg but the replays show that the impact is well outside the line.

5.2Not in control but John gets away with it! A surprise short ball from Siraj from around the wicket at the right shoulder of the batter. 3.3Well wide on off, on a length, Chanderpaul is happy to let it go.

3.2Attacking the stumps, on a good length, Tagenarine Chanderpaul stays back in his crease and defends it beside the strip on the leg side.

2.6On a back of a length, around the hips, Tagenarine nurdles it to deep backward square leg and takes a single.
