Okay then, a very early wrap to the game than usual. India have completely decimated the hosts in Dubai, which of course marks a really positive start for them, but more importantly, their net run rate will skyrocket massively. The UAE have almost a week's break and they will go back to the drawing board to prepare for their next challenge, against Oman, on Monday, September 15. For India, their next assignment sees them facing their arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday, 14th September. But up next, we hop back to Abu Dhabi for the 3rd Match as Bangladesh are all set to kick off their campaign against Hong Kong, China, who will be determined to put a humbling defeat behind them and come afresh for this exciting Group B clash. That game will be played at the iconic Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Thursday, 11th September, and the first ball is scheduled to be bowled at 8 pm IST (2.30 pm GMT). But as you all know the drill, please mark your presence an hour earlier to catch all the exciting pre-match buildup and analysis. Till then, we sign off from here. Take care, cheers!

The victorious skipper of India, SURYAKUMAR YADAV, is all smiles as he walks up for a chat. He says that the idea was to assess how the wicket played, and it turned out to be quite similar in both innings. Calls it a clinical performance, crediting the boys for showing great attitude and energy on the field. Mentions that many players were recently here for the Champions Trophy and knew the conditions, where the surface looked good but was on the slower side, giving spinners a role to play. In the hot conditions, he praises Kuldeep, Dube, and Varun for their efforts. On Abhishek, he says that being the World No.1 batter is no surprise as he sets the tone no matter the target, calling his batting unbelievable. Adds that everyone in the camp is now excited for the big game against Pakistan.

The captain of the United Arab Emirates, MUHAMMAD WASEEM, reflects that his team started well with the bat, but losing wickets in a cluster cost them the game. Credits the opposition, calling them a brilliant side with bowlers who executed their plans perfectly against every batter, which is why they are the No.1 team. Adds that as a unit, the UAE will look to come back stronger and learn from these mistakes.

India's KULDEEP YADAV is adjudged the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his impressive match-winning four-wicket haul. He starts by thanking the trainer, saying that he has been working hard on his fitness along with his bowling, and at the moment, everything feels perfect. On making the most of opportunities when playing for India, Kuldeep says he is just happy to take wickets and contribute to the team’s win. Talking about his bowling, he stresses the importance of hitting the right lengths and reveals that he tries to read the batter’s mind, reacting quickly to what they might do next ball, something that worked well for him.

... THE PRESENTATION ...

This is only the second time these two teams have faced off in this format. Their first encounter dates back to the 2016 Asia Cup, where India delivered a clinical performance. Nearly nine years later, they’ve once again given the UAE little room to settle. Their batting has clearly leaned heavily on Muhammad Waseem and Alishan Sharafu at the top. Even during the tri-series, the middle order struggled to deliver consistently. A very critical area that will require significant improvement when facing stronger opposition. With the ball, they’ve fared considerably better, particularly through their spin attack. However, cricket is a team game, and for victories to come, every department needs to click together. Rather than viewing this as a humiliating defeat, the UAE should see it as a valuable learning experience. An opportunity to grow with each outing, especially in multi-national tournaments like this that provide crucial international exposure to their relatively younger side.

Earlier in the game, India opted to bowl first on a pitch that appeared to be a bit two-paced in nature. Alishan Sharafu provided a positive start for the hosts, and they did manage to post a decent 41/2 at the end of the Powerplay. But once he and Muhammad Waseem were dismissed, the UAE just couldn't stitch a stable partnership as they kept losing wickets one after the other. And when the spinners formed the tandem, the batters were outfoxed by the variations they dished out. In particular, Kuldeep Yadav dented the middle order, picking three big wickets in a single over and the rest were shared by the others. Shivam Dube also enjoyed his time snagging three wickets, with Varun, Bumrah, and Axar chipping with one each. Overall, it was a clinical demolition job by the Indian bowlers as they bowled out the hosts for a paltry 57 runs, with only the openers managing to stretch out to double figures.

With just 58 runs to chase, it was only a matter of time for the Indians to hunt it down. Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill just didn't offer any breathing space for the bowlers and launched a ruthless attack from the first ball. Both Abhishek and Gill played some eye-pleasing strokes into the stands and feasted on the bowlers. With shoulders dropped after a disastrous batting, the UAE bowlers just didn't have the runs on the board. However, Junaid Siddique did manage to dismiss Abhishek Sharma, but that was all.

27 balls, and just around 30 minutes. This is all it took for the Indians to chase this target down. A thoroughly professional performance from the Men in Blue, in all departments. A very disappointing outing for the hosts, United Arab Emirates overall. They just couldn't produce any sort of challenge to the opposition. They came in with high hopes after putting in some decent stints in the recently concluded tri-series in Sharjah, but just crumbled under pressure and the stage. With 93 balls to spare, this is the UAE's BIGGEST defeat, in T20Is, in terms of balls remaining, while defending the target.

4.3FOUR! Done and dusted! Shubman Gill finishes off in style! Singh bowls it a yard behind fuller length, on middle and leg. Shubman Gill hangs deep inside the crease and punches it down, wide of mid on for a boundary. INDIA WIN BY 9 WICKETS!

4.2Tossed up, wide outside off, full in length. Suryakumar Yadav takes a giant stride forward, gets down on his knee and drags the ball with a sweep shot to deep square leg for a single.

4.1In front of the stumps, on a length, punched wide of mid off for a single.

Another change. Fourth over, fourth bowler from the United Arab Emirates. Simranjeet Singh comes into the attack. India need just 4 runs.

3.6SIX! Easy-peasy, says SKY! Junaid hurls a gentle-paced delivery, angling on middle and leg. Suryakumar Yadav spots the line and length early, shuffles across and plays his signature shot. Whips it behind deep fine leg for half a dozen. The 50 is up for India.

The skipper, Suryakumar Yadav, walks in at 3.

3.5OUT! STRAIGHT UP AND TAKEN! Something for the UAE to smile about as Junaid Siddique dismisses the destructive Abhishek Sharma. This is an inswinger on a fullish length, snaking back in from the middle stump line. Abhishek Sharma tries to heave that across the line and sail it behind deep mid-wicket, but only manages to get a top edge. The ball hangs up in the air, to the left of mid-wicket. Haider Ali locks his eyes on the ball while running to his left and completes the catch. Abhishek Sharma departs on 30 off just 16, and India are 48/1.

3.4SIX! INTO THE STANDS! An off cutter by the looks of it from Junaid. Short and on the leg stump line. Not a smart bowling with fine leg up in the circle. Sharma has enough time to wait on the back foot and pull it behind the long leg fence for a six.

3.3Bangs it short and on top of middle. Shubman Gill weighs back and jabs it to the right of mid on for a quick run.

3.3WIDE! Completely misses his radar, does Junaid and sprays it miles outside off, and it further swings away, beyond the tramline. Gill happily lets it go. Wided.

3.2Swings into the batter, on a good length, on top of off. Abhishek Sharma waits back and runs it behind square on the off side for a single at deep backward point.

3.1A hint of outswing, full and outside off, Gill gets on the front foot and drives it wide of cover, to his right. Calls Sharma through for a quick single.

Another change. Junaid Siddique comes into the attack. India need just 20 more.

2.6FOUR! In complete control! Pitched slightly fuller than the previous delivery, just around off. Abhishek Sharma gets the bat under the ball and lofts it inside out, over extra cover for a boundary. India are 38/0 in just three overs.

2.5SIX! WOW! This is some shot from Sharma! Quicker, into the pitch, sliding on the leg stump line, following the batter. Abhishek Sharma backs away, creates room for himself and just powers it effortlessly over long off for a six.

2.4Drifting on the leg stump, on a length. Abhishek backs away and punches it to mid off. A slight fumble by Muhammad Zohaib there but he recovers well and does not allow the batters to pinch a single.

2.3Spinning in from middle, pushed gently to mid on.

2.2Shorter in length, skids through the deck, and on the leg stump. Abhishek Sharma mistimes the heave over mid-wicket. Luckily for him, the ball lands in the safe zone. Two taken.

2.2WIDE! Sprays it down leg, on a length, Abhishek tries to smash the pull shot, but misses. Wide called.

2.1Good length, on the stumps, jabbed away to the off side.

Change. Dhruv Parashar comes into the attack.

1.6SIX! Unbelievable shot! Full ball, a juicy half volley on the leg stump line. Gill charges forward and uses his wrists to nonchalantly flick it up and over deep mid-wicket. That has been hit off the middle and travels into the stands for half a dozen. India are 25/0, needing 33 more.

1.5On a hard length, around off. Abhishek Sharma tries to tonk it over the bowler, but slices off the leading edge. The ball lands behind backward point for a single.

1.4Tap and run! A hint of inswing, around off, on a good length. Shubman Gill presses forward and eases it out to the cover region and calls Abhishek through for a quick single. Has to hurry as the fielder releases a throw at the bowling end, but misses to hit the stumps, which allows Gill to get in safely.

1.3On the shorter side, nipping away from off. Gill short-arm jabs it wide of mid on for a couple of runs. The fielder from the inner ring runs to his right and mops it up.

1.2FOUR! Gill gets off the mark in a signature fashion! Back of a length, angling across off. Shubman Gill jumps down the track and cracks it through cover and point for a boundary.

1.2WIDE! That is a bit of a harsh call. Slants it across the tramline on the off side. Gill slashes at it and misses. Wide given.

1.1Around the stumps, full and angling across the batter. Shubman Gill prods half forward and tries to drive through the off side, but the ball nibbles away and beats the outside edge by a kitten-whisker.

Muhammad Rohid will bowl from the other end.

0.6BEATEN! This is released slower through the air, full and outside off. Abhishek Sharma tries to make that travel over the off side, but only manages to connect with a handful of air. 4 dots on the trot. Good comeback by Haider after conceding 10 off the first two deliveries.

0.5Too full and on off, Abhishek Sharma forces it out to mid off.

0.4Fuller and around off, pushed gently to the cover fielder.

0.3Almost carried! Slower and in front of the sticks, spinning in a bit. Abhishek pushes and chips the ball towards the bowler. It dips and drops in front of Haider.

0.2FOUR! Off to a flier, is Abhishek! Haider shortens the length, outside off, Abhishek Sharma cashes on the width offered. He stands tall and slashes it over the cover-point region for a cracking boundary. Just 48 needed now.

0.1SIX! Well, that is some way to get off the mark! Haider bustles from over the stumps and lands it full, into the wheelhouse, around off. Abhishek Sharma plants the front foot ahead and mercilessly sails it over wide long off for a cracking six.
