NIFTY MIDCAP 150 Index Highlights, 25 March 2025: Sensex and Nifty 50 end with marginal gains

Kolkata Knight Riders started their innings cautiously, avoiding any wickets in the Powerplay, which proved vital in the chase. Quinton de Kock anchored the innings superbly, even as wickets fell around him. He reached his first IPL fifty for KKR stylishly, looking in great form. His partnership of 50+ runs with Angkrish Raghuvanshi kept RR at bay, and fittingly, he finished the game in style.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals managed to post a somewhat competitive total, with several batsmen contributing cameos, but nobody managed to convert their start into a substantial score, which hurt them. Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers were accurate from the beginning, with most bowlers, except for Spencer Johnson, taking a couple of wickets each to restrict the home side.

Rajasthan Royals will be disappointed in their bowling, especially considering the low target they had to defend. Their spinners couldn't replicate the effectiveness of KKR's. While they did take a couple of wickets, it wasn't sufficient to pressure the opposition. Ultimately, the visitors chased the score comfortably in just 17.3 overs.
