Looking for a job? Flipkart is on a hiring spree

Even as Snapdeal and some startups are handing out pink slips to employees, e-commerce major Flipkart, which had deferred campus placements and frozen hiring last year, is looking at large scale hiring this year.

Sources tell CNBC-TV18 that Flipkart may hire close to 1500 people in 2017. Campus jobs is likely to be only 15-20 percent of overall hiring in the year and significant portion of recruitment is likely to be on product engineering and supply side.

Responding to the channels query Flipkart said that its 2017 hiring plans are calibrated to the growth momentum the company is witnessing.

The company expects hiring to be around 20-30 percent higher than last year and wants the right mix of talent to power its next phase of growth.
