BofA Securities Europe has bought nearly Rs 267 crore worth shares in Eternal, the parent of food delivery giant Zomato, from Goldman Sachs via open market transactions on October 1.

<a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/online-services/eternal/Z">Eternal</a> shares gained 2.5 percent to close at Rs 329 on the National Stock Exchange. The stock has been in uptrend despite intermittent correction, especially after surpassing previous record high of Rs 305 in July.

BofA Securities Europe SA has acquired 82 lakh shares in Eternal (0.08 percent stake) at Rs 325.5 per share, valued at Rs 266.91 crore from Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE - ODI.

The action was also seen in <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/banks-private-sector/rblbank/RB03">RBL Bank</a>, which was down 0.74 percent to Rs 275.2 amid high volumes despite buyout of shares by Morgan Stanley and more than 1 percent rally in Bank Nifty.

Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore Pte bought 32.51 lakh shares (0.53 percent stake) in the private sector lender at Rs 274.44 per share, for Rs 89.2 crore.

Goldman Sachs (Singapore) Pte - ODI purchased 66.38 lakh shares (0.8 percent) at Rs 164.67 per share, for Rs 109.31 crore.

Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund acquired additional 25 lakh shares (0.72 percent stake) at Rs 273.95 per share, for Rs 68.48 crore.

As per the latest shareholding pattern, Motilal Oswal Select Opportunities Fund Series IV held 1.46 percent stake (50.55 lakh shares) in Jain Resource, the scrap recycling company in copper, lead, aluminium alloys &amp; plastic segments.

The brokerage cut its target price for KPIT to Rs 1,400 compared to Rs 1,500 per share, assigning an Overweight call on the stock.

Goldman Sachs trimmed its price target to Rs 1,100 per share, citing delayed business impact from recent deals, and has been expecting modest growth for H1FY26. Several broking houses are structurally positive on KPIT, backing its domain strength in mobility, and acquisitions to expand capabilities, alonf with an improving deal pipeline.

In a conversation with CNBC-TV18, KPIT Tech attributed to the share price fall on September 30 to an individual investor's stake sale, adding that the company has no information on who the investor was.

KPIT said the management has already shared a detailed view of its stance and there is no change in its financial projections. KPIT continues to maintain the previously issued guidance, and said it will not comment on any individual deal but assured that there is no risk to client deal renewals. The company reiterated its margin guidance, adding that growth is expected to pick up from Q3FY26 onwards. The company did not specify if it will provide a fresh guidance at the end of Q2FY26.

The Bank Nifty reclaimed 55,000 mark on October 1 after the Reserve Bank of India kept the <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/economy/rbi-mpc-meeting-highlights-october-2025-governor-sanjay-malhotra-repo-rate-change-key-announcements-13592071.html">interest rate unchanged at 5.5 percent</a> for the second consecutive time and the lender also proposed a raft of changes for bank lending. The sharp rally was led by Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank, rising up to 3 percent intraday.

At 12:05 pm on October 1, Bank Nifty was trading 700 points, or 1.3%, higher at 55,350.

While the Nifty Private Bank index rose 1.75%, the Nifty PSU Bank index saw profit booking as it was trading 1.1% lower.

Announcing the fourth bi-monthly monetary policy of the current fiscal, RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra said the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) unanimously decided to keep the short-term lending rate or repo rate unchanged at 5.5 percent with a neutral stance.

RBI has proposed to expand scope of capital market lending by banks to provide enabling framework to finance acquisitions. The central bank on October 1 proposed to withdraw a 2016 framework that limited bank lending to large corporations in a bid to reduce the risk of concentrated lending. This change will allow banks to raise lending to large corporations.

RBI also proposed greater flexibility to banks for opening and maintaining accounts of borrowers.

The RBI allowed unfettered bank lending against listed debt securities and raised the limit for lending against equity shares.

The cap on bank financing for IPOs will also be raised from to Rs 25 lakh from Rs 10 lakh per individual.

Nifty Financial services index also rose over 1.4 percent to trade at 26,396 on October 1 as the central bank lowered the risk weights for infrastructure loans by non-bank lenders, allowing greater credit flow to the ongoing build-out of roads and bridges across the country.

Shares of non-banking finance companies including HUDCO, IREDA, PFC and REC rose 3-5 percent on Wednesday after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced regulatory changes to ease infrastructure financing. Governor Sanjay Malhotra, while unveiling the October monetary policy, said risk weights on NBFC lending to operational, high-quality infrastructure projects would be reduced, helping lower the cost of financing for the sector.

"Harmonisation of over 9,000 compliances, a level-playing field for banks for capital market exposure and corporate acquisition, along with a dovish tone keeping the room open for future rate cuts, is in sync with the government's push to stimulate the economy," Nilesh Shah, managing director at Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company told Reuters.

“As expected, the RBI maintained the status quo. RBI is biased towards growth since inflation is within the target range and continues moving towards the midpoint. Also, the tariff uncertainties causing some headwinds to global trade are also cause of concern. In this scenario, RBI would like to see some stabilization of the INR and some clarity on global trade. It is primed for future rate cuts but will depend on how things pan out on the global trade deals and volumes and the INR," said Vikas Gupta, CEO &amp; Chief Investment Strategist at OmniScience Capital.

Capital rules

Giving banks a breather on capital, the RBI said the implementation of so-called expected credit loss rules, which mandate banks to set aside more funds for potential bad loans, will be effective on April 1, 2027.

While a draft framework on the rules had been published to bring Indian norms in line with global ones, an implementation date had not been announced. Banks will be given time till March 31, 2031 to fully implement that framework, RBI governor Malhotra said.

The central bank also proposed to make Basel 3 norms effective for banks from April 1, 2027.

The RBI will also issue draft rules for credit risk shortly. Under these, lower risk weights on certain segments are expected to ease capital requirements for small enterprises and residential real estate, including home loans.

The Competition Commission of India has approved the acquisition of Jaiprakash Associates by Jindal Power, a part of the Jindal Group.

Nestle India

The company further strengthened its commitment to India as it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) to expedite investments in greenfield and brownfield projects in Odisha and its existing manufacturing locations.

Shree Cement

Shree Cement has commissioned a clinkerisation unit having a capacity of 3.65 MTPA at its integrated cement plant being set up at Jaitaran, Rajasthan.

Atlantaa

The company has entered into an agreement with IRCON International for undertaking a contract worth Rs 2,485 crore. The contract involves the construction of the Bhandara-Gadchiroli Access Controlled Expressway in Maharashtra on an EPC mode.

Lupin

The pharma company has received approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application for Rivaroxaban for Oral Suspension, which is bioequivalent to Xarelto for oral suspension of Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Rivaroxaban for Oral Suspension is used for the treatment of venous thromboembolism (VTE).

Oil India

The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GAIL (India) to strengthen cooperation across the natural gas value chain and unlock synergies for expanding access to cleaner energy across the country.

Adani Total Gas

Parag Parikh has resigned as Chief Financial Officer of the company, effective September 30. The company is in the process of appointing a new Chief Financial Officer.

RITES

The transport infrastructure consultancy and engineering firm signed an MoU with Etihad Rail for business collaboration in the mobility sector in the geographies of the UAE and beyond.

Man Industries

SEBI has disposed of the long-pending legacy matters of the company for FY 2015 to FY 2021. The matters were mainly on account of non-consolidation of financial statements with Merino Shelters (MSPL) and other procedural matters. The capital markets regulator has imposed a monetary penalty of Rs 25 lakh on the company.

Further, Rs 25 lakh each have also been imposed on Ramesh Mansukhani (Chairman &amp;amp; Director), Nikhil Mansukhani (Managing Director), and Ashok Gupta (Ex-Chief Financial Officer) of the company. Additionally, SEBI has restrained them from accessing the securities market for a period of two years.

Swan Defence and Heavy Industries

The company has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Samsung Heavy Industries for jointly exploring commercial shipbuilding and heavy engineering projects across domestic and international markets.

SKF India

Ashish Saraf has resigned as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company, effective September 30, due to restructuring in the management pursuant to a demerger, while Mukund Vasudevan has resigned as Managing Director of the company and will continue as Non-Executive Director.

The Board has appointed Shailesh Kumar Sharma as the new Managing Director of the company for a term of 5 years, and Aashi Arora as Interim Chief Financial Officer, effective October 1.

Indian Overseas Bank

The Reserve Bank of India has imposed a monetary penalty of Rs 31.80 lakh on Indian Overseas Bank for non-compliance with certain directions issued by RBI on priority sector lending.

LG Balakrishnan &amp;amp; Brothers

The company has detected a malware incident affecting select IT systems. Immediate action has been taken to contain the impact and secure the system.

ICICI Bank

The bank has received a Show Cause Notice (SCN) from the Additional Commissioner of CGST and Central Excise, Mumbai East Commissionerate, raising a GST demand amounting to Rs 216.27 crore on services provided by the bank to customers maintaining specified minimum balances in their accounts.

Adani Enterprises

The company's subsidiary, Adani Road Transport (ARTL), has executed a share purchase agreement with Yashodhan Highways (YHPL) and DRN Infrastructure (DRN) to acquire a 100% stake in YHPL. Further, it has executed a share purchase agreement with KN Highways Development (KNHDPL) and DRN Infrastructure to acquire a 100% stake in KNHDPL.

Newgen Software Technologies

The company's subsidiary, Newgen Software Technologies (UK), has executed an agreement worth 29.85 lakh pound with a customer for software license, implementation, and maintenance services.

Additionally, its US subsidiary, Newgen Software Inc., has entered into a Master Service Agreement worth $16.37 lakh with a leading bank in the Caribbean for the supply, installation, and implementation of the Newgen Enterprise Content Management System Platform. The company has received a $56.36 lakh contract from eProcess International Ghana for the delivery, implementation, and support for a loan management system.

Further, its subsidiary, Newgen Software Technologies LLC, incorporated in Dubai, has accepted a Letter of Award (LOA) from a customer for the implementation of a business process management platform. The aggregate value of the LOA is KWD 17.36 lakh.

RateGain Travel Technologies

The company, which provides AI-powered SaaS solutions for travel and hospitality, through its subsidiary, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Sojern Inc., a leading AI-led MarTech company focused on the hospitality sector.

VBAP Holdings offloaded 9.96 lakh shares (1.39% stake) in Awfis at Rs 570.12 per share, amounting to Rs 56.8 crore. This is the third sale transaction by VBAP Holdings since the start of the September quarter, while its shareholding as of June 2025 was 5.92 percent (42.17 lakh shares). VBAP, in total, sold a 3.58% stake in the September quarter.

NIBE

Venus Investments VCC – Venus Stellar Fund acquired 2,77,877 shares (1.9% stake) in NIBE at Rs 1,451 per share for Rs 40.3 crore from Aegis Investment Fund. As of June 2025, Aegis was holding a 4.94% stake in the company.

AAA Technologies

Promoter Ruchi Anjay Agarwal offloaded 2.8 lakh shares in the company at Rs 79.6 per share to M7 Global Fund PCC – Cell Dewcap Fund. Since last week, promoters have offloaded 12.52 lakh shares (9.76% stake) in AAA Technologies.

VBAP Holdings sold 1.4 percent equity stake in flexible workspace provider Awfis Space Solutions via open market transactions on September 30.

Awfis shares closed at Rs 569.8, down 0.04 percent with above-average volumes and formed Doji candlestick pattern on the daily charts after taking support at Rs 550 for fourth time since August 2025.

This is the third sale transaction by VBAP Holdings since the start of September quarter, while its shareholding as of June 2025 was 5.92 percent (42.17 lakh shares). VBAP sold 7.6 lakh shares in Awfis at Rs 595.13 per share on July 30, and 8 lakh shares at Rs 578.9 per share on September 18, which in total selling 3.58 percent stake in September quarter.

Meanwhile, <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/aerospacedefence/nibe/KF">NIBE</a> was also in action, rising 2.43 percent to Rs 1,474.2. The stock has been in an uptrend since the second half of September despite intermittent correction, especially after consolidation breakout on September 15.

Since last week, promoters offloaded 12.52 lakh shares (9.76 percent stake) in AAA Technologies, the information technology and cyber security auditing &amp; consulting company.

Cognizant Capital Dynamic Opportunities Fund sold 1.7 lakh shares in <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/pharmaceuticalsdrugs/anonditamedicare/AML07">Anondita Medicare</a> at Rs 340.04 per share, while Finavenue Growth Fund, Nexus Equity Growth Fund, Niveshaay Hedgehogs Fund, Golden Equity Fund Series I, and Neo Apex Venture LLP acquired 8,47,200 shares in <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/textiles/truecolours/TCL05">True Colors</a> for Rs 15.89 crore on its listing day.
